Hattrick Manager v2.58 is now available and fixes the issue with the false “Wrong Security Code” error message. Please update to fix this.

With the recent push of Internet Explorer 8 updates some are experiencing problems downloading data from Hattrick using Hattrick Manager.

This and some more issues are upcoming v2.57 that is now available as beta here.

This release contains a few fixes. As you may have noticed, since the previous version many non a-z characters appears wrong. This is due to a change in how Hattrick encodes the files compared to the old way of retrieving data from Hattrick.

The way to fix this is to replace the way the XML-files are read and parsed by Hattrick Manager. In this version I’ve done that for the player-data file. This will make the player names appear as they should in the main player list (they may appear scrambled elsewhere). Hopefully this change didn’t cause anything else to break.

I’m going to continue working replacing the XML-parser for the different data files, but I thought it was a good idea to get the fix for the player names out already now.

A new version is now available for download. This version supports the new CHPP procedure and fixes the errors related to downloading data from Hattrick.

I’m sorry for the inconvenience the late released of this version has caused. In front of the computer, with internet access, together with about 15 still not unpacked boxes in a small room – this version was finally released.

I’m aware of the issue that non standard english characters will currently appear scrambled in several places of the application.

Somewhat ironically, because of yesterdays post, a new version is now available.

The only change is that it fixes the download of the world details file that broke because of a change of URL on Hattrick. This in turned caused the currency settings to be empty in Hattrick Manager.

Some translation updates and other minor changes are also included.
