General Usage

	When I download the file matches.xml always says "Failed".
	This is likely because you are running some internet security software or firewall (like Norton Internet Security) that blocks Hattrick Manager from properly accessing Hattrick and downloading data. Enable HattrickManager.exe in the internet security software to solve this issue. You may temporarly disable the internet security software and then try downloading using Hattrick Manager to determine if this is the reason or not.
	I get error message "GetTrainingEffect: TrainingType out of range.".
	This is due to the new training types and you are using an old version of HM. Simply download and update to the latest version to solve this.
	Hattrick Manager crashes immediately upon startup.
	If you are using WinXP SP2, make sure DEP (Data Execution Prevention) is enabled for "Windows programs and services only" Please see this page for more information how to change this.
	How do I manually change the players generated by the Auto Lineup?
	You may drag and drop players between positions and from/to the Player Listview.
	My player's training/skill/strength/etc not predicted perfectly correct, what should I do?
	The inner workings of Hattrick is unknown so Hattrick Manager uses simplified models for it calculations. The aim is to give you a hint or advice, not to exactly predict the future. You may also not agree with the default settings in Hattrick Manager. Therefore they are configurable so you may tweak them to what you see is a more correct value.
	Why wasn't my players' stars updated and/or a match is missing in my player's match list?
	You may correct this by opening up the Matches window, right-click the missing match and select Update Player Match Data. This is a know issue but it is unknown why it happens, if you see a pattern you are very welcome to mail me about it.
	A player's skill raise/decrease is not detect by Hattrick Manager, what should I do?
	In Settings / Files Info select Recreate Skill Changes. This may happen if your player raises a skill at a time when Hattrick Manager does not detect you have performed a training (due to wrong time or update latency). This will be reworked in future versions to avoid this scenario.
	Why does my Auto Lineup and Best Position prediction generate very weird results?
	This is most likely because your Sort Profile and/or Auto Lineup settings are corrupt. Open Sort Profiles (Ctrl+A), click Restore Defaults. Now do the same thing in Auto Lineup Settings (Ctrl+L).
	Why didn't my injured/red card player receive any training according to Hattrick Manager?
	Hattrick Manager has no way to be totally sure at what position the player played at and if he really should receive any training (depending on the seriousness of the injury). You may manually correct this by viewing the match, go to the Lineup tab and then right-click the green area and select Set Player Match Data.... As position you should set the position he should have received his training on (i.e. if you had him as Extra Midfield set the position as Inner Mid 1).
	My training type is not correct for a specific week, why and what should I do?
	If you changed training type and didn't perform a download until the training occured Hattrick Manager will be unable to detect the training type and assume it was what was found in the latest retrieved training file prior to the training date. You may correct this by double-clicking the incorrect training date in the Training window and correct it using Edit Training.
	I played with a very weird lineup and shouldn't have received any training, but it is still counted.
	Currently Hattrick Manager doesn't detect all situations where your team shouldn't have received any training. You may manually correct this by double-clicking the incorrect training date in the Training window and set the Training Level to zero.
	Why is some files indicated as Failed sometimes when performing a download?
	This is most likely because your team is currently playing a match. During a match certain data is not available and therefore Hattrick Manager will skip those files. Download again after the match to get all files.
	Why do I get a Socket #10061 error or similar when performing a download?
	This might be due to a proxy, firewall or "internet security" software like Symantec-, McAfee, F-Secure Internet Security blocking Hattrick Manager from accessing the Hattrick website.
	I'm trying to Recreate Training but data from my old HRF-files aren't included?
	HRF-files generated before the download functionality was integrated into Hattrick Manager did not contain the current training type except as a string, that is why they are skipped. If you really, really want to load it you may search/replace all your old HRF-files. The row trType=string should be replaced with trTypeValue=n where n is the integer value corresponding to your training type (to see this value you may look in the appropriate .properties file used for translation, search for trainingtype).
	What are HRF-files?
	HRF-files are the old obsolete data format used by Hattrick. October 1st, 2004 Hattrick removed the HRF-files in favour of the system with multiple XML-files.

Registration

	I've lost my registration key, how can I get it again?
	You may resend your registration key by entering your team ID on the support page.
	Do I have to pay again when a new version is released?
	No, just download and install.
	What do I get if I register?
	The unregistered version has trial period of 15 days. When the trial period expires only the most basic functionality will stay unlocked.
	I've made a purchase, where is my registration key?
	Please follow the instructions on this page for detailed information.
	I don't know what my team ID is, where do I find it?
	Please see this page for detailed information about how to find out your team's ID.
	Can Hattrick Manager be used with several teams on the same computer?
	Yes. See the topic Using HM with Two Teams in the Help of Hattrick Manager (press F1 in Hattrick Manager and look in the Help and Support section) for detailed information.
	I want to use Hattrick Manager with more than one team, must I pay for each team?
	Yes. As stated in the license agreement the license is per team, thus if you will use Hattrick Manager with two teams, you need to pay the registration fee for both teams. On the other hand, you may use Hattrick Manager in registered mode on any number of computers since the license is per team and not per installation.
	May I install Hattrick Manager on several computers with only one license?
	Yes, this is perfectly alright, simply use the same registration key. The license is based per team, not per installation.
	How long does it take until the registration key is mailed?
	I mail the registration key as soon as the payment has been received/confirmed. How long this takes depends on your payment method, PayPal is the fastest. I never hold on before mailing out the key so there is no need to tell me to be quick.
	I'm so *****, please give me a free registration key.
	No, I don't give out free registration keys for nothing. It would be unfair to the other already registered users.

Miscellaneous

	How do I update to a new version?
	Simply download the latest version and install it over your current. You don't need uninstall your current version.
	When will the next version be released?
	If there is a release date it is announced on the webpage, however, I usually do not announce any dates since it is impossible for me to know exactly when it will be released. Giving out a date and not sticking to it tend to disapoint people, therefore I prefer not. Additionally, Hattrick Manager is something I do during my sparetime which also mean it is next to impossible to promise anything. So please don't ask for any dates.
	Can I use Hattrick Manager on Linux?
	Actually, yes you can. A user in the forum posted a little guide how to do it.
	Can I use Hattrick Manager on a Mac using Virtual PC?
	Yes, however, you need to enable compatibility mode in Virtual PC first: Start the Virtual PC session as normal. In the Mac Finder, navigate to the 'Documents' folder in your 'Home' folder. Open the 'Virtual PC Scripts' folder. Open the 'Toggle Compatibility Mode' script by double clicking it. The script opens in Script Editor. Click the 'Run' button at the top of the script window. Click 'OK' to the informational dialog that appears. Click 'Enable' in the next dialog. Return to the PC session, which is now running in compatibility mode and will be somewhat slower, and run Hattrick Manager as normal. When complete, close the program and return the Virtual PC to normal mode by re-running the script above and selecting 'Disable' at the appropriate time.
	In what way is Hattrick Manager related to Hattrick?
	Hattrick Manager is an entirely personal initiative and has nothing to do with the fine persons behind Hattrick, or Extralives AB
	Is HM same as HAM?
	No. Hattrick Manager (HM) is not the same as Hattrick Assistant Manager (HAM), Absolute Manager (AM) or any other manager application. They are all developed by different persons. Just for the record, Hattrick Manager was first. :-)
	Are you the famous Stefan Pettersson, once world class (or even mythical) soccerplayer in Ajax?
	(This is actually not a very uncommon question.) No, I'm not, but I'm still happy to sign autographs if you want one. :-)
